FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I BOOK?
Our workshop runs on a tight schedule and we operate an appointment only service. See our Social Media accounts for current availability.
Once you have made contact we will agree the service you need, as well as a date and time to drop off your bike.
CAN I SUPPLY MY OWN PARTS?
Yes - However if you have not sourced them at the point of booking please contact us. We stock most service parts, or can get most other parts the next day and can usually beat online prices.
Please note:
All of the service parts that we stock are premium products and tested / researched prior to stocking them for client use. We can't give the same assurances to parts supplied by a client. Occasionally we will decline to work with some parts if we deem them unsuitable.
If the parts supplied are incorrect or not compatible, the minimum workshop charge for a missed appointment may be charged and the job rebooked at the next available appointment date.
If you do supply the parts then you would be responsible for the warranty process should there be a problem or any additional labour to remove / refit
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We operate a home based workshop, centrally located in Loughborough.
Address will be shared once your booking is confirmed.
WHAT WILL IT COST?
Standard costs for most jobs are on our Services Page but get in touch if you would like to check anything.
Once the bike is in our worksop we assess the work required and any additional parts or work additional to the service booked will be discussed and agreed.
HOW CAN I PAY?
On completion of the job we will send you a confirmation of the total cost; this must be paid before or on collection via BACS or cash. Invoices can be produced on request.
At this stage we will offer available times for collection.
Please Note - Bikes need to be collected within 24 hours of completion unless prior arrangement has been made.
After 48hrs a storage cost of £10 per day will be applied.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you cannot make your appointment please contact us ASAP and we will try to rearrange. The earlier you can do so, the greater chance we can fit you in at a revised time.
Late Cancellations fees are as follows:
Elite Service / Pro Service / Build
More than 7 days - No Charge
Less than 7 days - 50%
Less than 3 days - 75%
Less than 24hrs - 100%
Club Service / Check Ups / Other Small Jobs
More than 3 days - No charge
Less than 3 days - 50%
Less than 24hrs - 75%
No-Show - 100%
Future bookings will not be booked until the relevent cancelation fee is paid.
WHAT IS YOUR WARRANTY?
Whilst we aim for all bikes to leave to a high standard, on occasions follow up may be required.
Any problem or concern should be notified no later than 7 days from collection, or 14 days for Elite Services / 28 days for Pro Services and custom builds
Parts provided by us are done so in line with manufacturer warranty, and should they be at fault we will manage the warranty process. Please note LSC will not be liable for time without your bike while this process takes place.
ARE YOU VAT REGISTERED / INSURED ETC?
Loughborough Service Course is registered as a sole trader business, we are not VAT registered.
We are fully insured with Professional Liability and clients' bikes covered whilst on site.
